Pure "Cain" Sugar?

-having a bad day-didn't have the heart to write about how we might lose in Iraq and came *that* close to deleting not only the previous posts but *all* of them.
A nanosecond of hope faded upon realizing that "farrago" doesn't rhyme with "Cuban embargo." I don't hold out much hope that completely opening up the U.S. market to sugar imports would do much to improve the standard of living in the Carribean, and fear that much of whatever benefit might accrue to the murderous Fidel. Then, feeling a bit peckish after reading "farrago," had a promising start with "What's Alsace for the goose-stepper is Lorraine for the..."....then nothing...look in the fridge...nah, "real men don't eat quiche"...sigh...left to *stew* in my own juices...guess I'll have to, like Clinton on the golf course, take a "Mulligan" on this hole of a blog.
But then I realized how much my work has meant to others: Not only had my vision of tasty giblets of justice in the next world whetted the appetite of the gibbetting(3.) ghouls(someone's old Corner post: "The ghoul can't help it!"), but also, Peter Robinson had surely read my blog of Tuesday, Feb 3 about sugar subsidies before posting his own the following day. And, just as surely, he was thinking of the VooDoo powers of "Gris-Gris" Adams(see "Ad 'Homonym' Attack?" of Jan 15, and "Haitian and Jamaican Girls" of Jan 18 and others)to enforce an oath about contracting a skin disease.(2.)
Yeah right,(1.)
Good Night.

Oh- Jonah just gave a Corner Call for suggestions for the most under reported story of the week. How 'bout the "body count" of the Iraqis who have set off(or attempted to do so) remote-controlled bombs over the past several *months*? I don't know the number, but fear that it's (Dan)rather low.

1. From "Yeah Right," one of my 16 year old's skateboarding videos. It has some fakey stuff, as well as some er, "fakeys."
2. Syphilis is btw., initially a skin disease and was(distinct from small pox) the "Great Pox" of whore yore. Reminds one of the National Lampoon Radio Hour's schtick on capital punishment: Judge to a member of the old Chicago School of Hard Knocks(we ain't talkin' uncle Milton Friedman here): "Al Capone, it is the judgment of this court that you will be given a dose of syphilis."
3. -See 2.-Is it a hard "G, Man"? Like I said, it's been a bad day.
