Glad to see the Corner gagging on the obscene FDR invading Mexico analogy. That alone should disqualify him from *any* political office in the Free World.
And hasn't somebody already demolished the "Pottery Barn" crap? Suppose the "barn" has been taken over and used as a front for a meth lab? The police break some pottery in capturing the big fish who had seized the barn. Then the legitimate employees refuse to testify against the criminal and whine that they are not being protected from the criminal's organization and whine about being compensated for the broken pottery. You note that some of the ostensibly legitimate employees are launching attacks on the police. You then make it clear that if you can't *save* the barn so that is not a threat to society, you will *destroy* it. To be sure, Bush shares some of the blame for not making it clear that such an ultimate "exit strategy" must lie behind any rational "plan" for Iraq.
