A lil' zinger sent out on 9-21.:Tip for the cruise: A "Hoplite" is *not* VDH's "favorite microbrew." [A reader might suspect that the ex(?)vintner(?)prefers wine over beer, but perhaps like the sausage maker who knows too much about his product to consume it, VDH has labored or stamped too long in the vineyard where the grapes of La Raza are stored.(the Aztecs *will* probably own them soon) Hey, as noted by a character in a Mad Magazine paperback, "they can't all be gems."]Not much else comes to mind today except, inspired by the Derb's "Them danged furriners,": "Blogs begin at Cathay." -which is true only if one accepts a tortured definition involving the International Dateline as applicable to the blogging "empire" upon which the sun never.....oh, never mind. The unwelcome thought occurs that given what Master Derb observed about the nasty, nationalist and downright racist stuff on furrin'(mainland and Taiwanese)and domestic internet bulletinboards years ago, he hasn't had much to say about Chinese bloggers because there isn't much nice to say about them, apart from the odd painting, song or political prisoner.
