The former Iraqi Minister of Information is keeping a low profile, but not to worry; C-SPAN 2 just now a conference by the mothers of a lot of lies of CAIR. The poll of American attitudes towards Islam sadly, does show that most Americans *do* deny reality(at least when they are responding to pollsters) on issues related to Islam. One is sickened by the result that only 25% believe that "Islam teaches violence and hatred." Most Muslims are lying when they say that they "condemn terrorism." At least those lies are self-serving, but one is hard-pressed to think of how the West's acceptance of those lies as anything more credible than M.S.S.'s reports on the Iraq war is beneficial to it.
As usual Muslims deny to others that terrorists aren't in the mainstream of Islam and, as usual put the blame on non-Muslims: "What drives terrorists is "hate, which is against Islam," said Aziz Junejo, host of the public-access TV show "Focus on Islam" in Seattle. "Hate is a horrible thing. For all these people who are willing to kill themselves (by suicide bombing) -- to kill their own people -- hate has to be their power factor."

But not just any hatred.

"It's hate due to oppression," Junejo said. "It seems whether they're in Iraq or Chechnya, these people are being oppressed."

It is no more surprising that most Muslims lie about their sympathies and aims than it is that their governments don't formally declare war against us and send uniformed troops, planes and warships against us.
The poll was said to suggest that having a Muslim acquaintance or becoming "more educated" was associated with a more favorable opinion of Islam. Leaving aside the Muslim's proud pupil gauging culture of lying, it should be noted that most Germans during 1939 to 1945 and most Russians from 1917 to 1989 were probably quite decent and personable on a personal level. And much of the "education" promulgated by the MSM and universities has been lies about with respect to Islam, communism, immigration, the environment, the Cold War, the "homeless" et.,etc.
-no surprise either that a recent Zogby poll shows that U.S. Muslims support Kerry over Bush by an over ten to one margin. If the 7% who professed support for Bush do indeed favor a non-totalitarian, non-jihadist form of Islam, they are, non-the-less almost without any spokesmen-and for them, I have some sympathy.
One spokesman for CAIR muttered something about "hate speech" legislation. This incredible chutzpah and arrogance to some extent reflects not only their mainstream view that dhimmi are subhuman but also their perception that most of us are stupid, weak, and cowardly. The VDARE site covers some selective annihilation of speech by the self-genocidal, totalitarian governments of Scandinavia acting on behalf of hate-filled Muslim vermin.
Let's hope for some coverage of all or some of this on the websites...
