"Hope Springs" Eternal?
Still a little fuzzy after sleeping late, and some jumbled visions for all I know might have been due to hazy recollections of a dream: -one of the young NRO FNGs, while making a "pwerp walk" chirps, "I'll bet that Kerry's "munitions gap" is gonna' backfire just like JFK's phony "missile gap"! Whereupon Jonah "Trustee" Goldberg seizes the "tallow" youth's "Hope on a Rope," gives him a cold shower of reality, and tell's him that, unlike Nixon who escaped punishment for awhile after losing the race for governor of California, the new guy is going to be "kicked around" by the "Bench Press Gang" for a long, long time.
