"Nixed" Metaphors?

Maybe if I typed in "Gay" and "Cruise" more often, Google searches by NRO and Daily Dish readers would snare more for this forsaken site....
With the tossing overboard of Colin "Klinghoffer" Powell, the never-give-Bush-credit crowd might well assert that Condoleeza Rice is being merely er, shuffled, to the post of Secretary of State or that Bush is, in effect, rearranging the deck chairs on the Amistad.
And tho I should cease flogging Churchill's quip about his navy, perhaps someone could now use "Rumsfeld, Bloggery and the Lass."
("Rumsfeld, Bloggery, and the Lush" some months ago garnered a single "Ha!")
