There's Hmong Among Us

The post of "Guns don't kill people, Hmong kill people" was not intended to insult all Hmong. A few of them fought on the U.S. side in an armed conflict, something that the government of Mexico has rarely done. A far more serious, if subliminal assault on the Hmong image was carried out in Wayne's World II:

Wayne: "And the number one worst Halloween treat is... mung."
Garth: "Mung..?? What the hell is mung?"
Wayne: "I have no idea. All I know is that mung is the grossest thing imaginable."
Garth [scared]: "It frightens me man, I don't like it--MUNG! People get killed by mung!"
