I might as well start to post stuff on this blog again rather than inflict it directly upon NRO staff. I blew about a half hour(some minor editing and one addition a couple of days later) on the following a few days ago soon after Jonah Goldberg and John Derbyshire mentioned the recently late Revel, author of the "Totalitarian Temptation." Sigh -neither apparently believed my claim that an Anglo/French pick-up band planned to crash the funeral. I later learned that the idea for "The Totalitarian Temptations" had been "done" earlier this year on a TNR website. http://www.tnr.com/blog/show_comments.mhtml?b=theplank&pid=6500
The following may suck less if the real Temptations site is pulled up with audio on in a separate window. Perhaps I was over confident having "Sympathy For The Foreign Devil" and passing on Steven Wright's "What is the synonym for 'Thesaurus'?" accepted on Radio Derb recently. Absent any positive feedback, I'll drop the project once again.
