Black Ithaca & Mrs. Homie?

-makes sense to me -Menelaus and his homies drop everything to form up a posse 'cuz his bitch, Helen, up and left his sorry ass. Then, much later(his son, Telemachus, having grown up fatherless-no big thing)Odysseus returns home(with ridiculous and unbelievable alibis to explain his tardiness) to find that it's been trashed by mofos who have be hangin' 'round Penelope, treatin' her like a Ho(and thereby disrespectin' him), actin'like his crib was a club, and not bothering to do any real work(that's for chumps and helots) for *years*.
I suspect that Homer, like Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles, was a guy, though he might have gotten many of his lyrics from women, as well as depending upon them for help in his daily life.
