A Glorious .001 seconds of "Life's Work" shot creating:
"Gaymond Chandler" (a writer from the era of the er, hotel "house dick"?) "Gayron Burr" (a New Yawk Senator)-'nuff said, but Hoooweeee!...no Google hits for either one of these. And not to put a "Burr" under the saddle of the horse you rode in on, Pard, but after sending in the RedStarTribune piece recounting that one of the Reds placed a dot on the center of a Right/Left sort of line, the thought occurred that you might have escaped a scolding by some pimply Objectivist after you wrote something like, "to the right of Attila The Hun." The cute 'n cuddly, kitsch-loving Annie Rand(who clearly did not "Know Her Limits" or that of her "epismitology") used(if memory serves)"Attila" as a symbol or nickname or whathaveyou for Lefties who worshipped the use of force, rather than Capitalism or Reason or $ in our "benevolent universe." Like many of your Readers, I don't think that I've dug deep enough into your archives to have read the piece about the fudge/meat-packing soiree. And were not surprised that you can carry on a civil conversation with those who -can't think of any original euphemisms just now for homosexuals. Though, dollars to dung holes, I'll betcha that hordes of Readers thought, "Derb had a 'personal trainer' !?!?!"
Bashingly Yours, XXXXX
